About Me

My name is Cameron. I am more of a lower league fan then watching all the top leagues however I do like to watch International games.

I have been supporting Grimsby Town Fc since I was young. I remember my first game back in 2006 against Bury. We won 2-1 that day and I got to see Grimsby Town legends John McDermott and Michael reddy. I sat in the Main Stand which was argued to be one of the oldest football stands in English football.

Here is a fact for you. The central part of the Main Stand dates back to 1901! I think that's quite impressive that a part of Blundell Park was built in the Victorian times and has survived 2 world wars and still stands today. This goes to show how much Grimsby needs a new stadium. The maintenance bill must be through the roof! Im going to stop blabbering about the history of Blundell Park and not go off topic.

About me? I don't even know where to start! Not that's there's anything to really know about me. I hate writing! Absolutely hate it! But when I am writing about something that interests me like football or games, I cant stop!

As Grimsby is the only team I support, I haven't really felt any success. The Conference Premier League isn't the biggest league in English football but it certainty is one of the best! The league has different types of teams. When I say "Types" I mean teams with different backgrounds and history. You have some of the bigger teams like Grimsby that have had lots of history in top flight football. But you also have some of the smaller teams from the leauges below which are rising through the ranks.

In the conference only 2 teams can gain promotion to Leauge 2 and 4 teams get relegated. To prove the league is such a competitive one Luton Town are a prime example. They are another team like Grimsby which have had great success in the championship but find them selves in the spiral of death in the conference league. Over the last few season they have had great financial backing and have had lots of money pumped into the club. But does money really mean success? It took Luton 5 years to gain promotion back in the the football leauge. 3 of them years they made it into the play off but lost all 3 of them. But finally in 2014 they managed to end there misery by winning the league.
